Exact Roofing is designed around simple principles. Throughout the development of the Exact Roofing we were focused on creating a high quality, industry current but user-friendly software package. In this section we will cover the main areas of the program and give an overview of some of the functionalities that the Exact Roofing offers.

The program consists of four main workspaces:

• Plan - The plan view is where drawing takes place. Using a built in CAD engine the user is guided throught drawing commands, to complete a plan drawing of a specific roof. The 2D drawing of the plan is interactive, the user selects the edge of a representative single slope and after specifying the slope and wall, it is transformed into 3D model to view in the 3D view. It is possible to view all aspects of drawing including the materials applied to specific parts (i.e. hips, barges, valleys) and dimensions to aid in extending the drawing. Learn More...

• 3D - The 3D view is a scaled representation of the plan, the model has walls and outlines of actual tiles or long run in some cases. The 3D model can be viewed from all angles and this helps validate that the drawing in 2D and it's properties are correct for the job. A recent addition to the 3D model is the Visual Imager module, this marketing tool aids the Roofing Reseller by improving the traditional marketing strategy from brochures and color charts to a complete Visual Image of the customers house or building showing the roofing materials, windows, doors, and ground surface surrounding the building. • Stock - In the Stock view the user is able to see each roofing material pieces cut separately. In the case of long run a full cutting schedule can be developed, where the length of cut sheets is specified and the each individual piece is matched onto a cut length sheet, therefore showing the user exactly how the pieces should be cut on site. • Quote - In the Quote view the documentation for the job is shown. The documents are built from standard templates but they can be customised to your business with the addition of your logo, company information and any other addition text that you wish to add. Learn More...
